consider for a minute the way the u.s. has historically treated those foreign nations that hold control over the majority of the crude oil reserves…such as venezuela, saudi arabia, qatar, iraq, iran, etc. the contempt and challenge and even all-out war have been more than a bit intense, and continuous. now consider for a minute if the majority of the world’s crude oil was under u.s. soil. how would we treat other countries, particularly those dependent upon our oil. how would we treat those countries with animosity toward us but not having the physical power to exert a semblance of control. how different would we be.
